Michaelmas is itself a feast to the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, normally celebrated on September 29th. Michael is regarded as the leader of all the angels and is why you tend to see churches called St Michael and All Angels.
However, Michaelmas or these three Archangels are special in the characteristics they hold:
Gabriel
Based upon these characteristics the Michaelmas Community was formed.
It is a group that has an ultimate aim - to ensure children of all ages have a place to go that:
Michaelmas Daisies
Michaelmas daisies purple in the border,
big fat leeks all standing up in order.
Giant marrows winning every prize,
Bubbling jars of elderberry wine.
Fruits are bottled, others in the deep-freeze,
Silken poppies blushing in the cornfields.
DON'T BRING MUDDY BOOTS INTO THE HALL,
Golden Onions hanging on a wall.
It's harvest time,
Harvest time again.
Harvest time,
Give thanks for sun and rain.
A time to take
and a time to give
Harvest time, it's the time to live
At harvest time.....
Mellow, fruitful harvest time.

He lights the way to the truth within our hearts, and helps us to see what is the right path for us to follow for our highest good and greatest joy.
Raphael(Rafael)
- His name means "divine healer" or "God heals".
- Has in his care the healing of the Earth and of its inhabitants.
- Intervenes to save our body, mind and heart, he soothes our suffering.
- "I heal myself and I become stronger through the power of divine love."
He provides access to divine kindness, especially when we are in search full of hope and desire for healing, even with our minds and hearts hurt. He will constantly aim to lead us to greater unity and harmony. It is enough to ask him with all our heart to lead us to the only real doctor, God.
